Mission, Aims and Values
About us
We are a local charity serving carers in the Epping Forest, Harlow, Havering and Redbridge areas as part of the Carers Trust national network, a charity for, with and about carers. Our history of successfully supporting carers locally goes back over 20 years.
Our Vision
Our vision is a world where the role and contribution of unpaid family carers and young carers is recognised and they have access to the quality of support and services they need to live their own lives. Our vision is to see this happen within the local communities that we serve.
Our Mission – what we do to make this happen
We provide the services that respond to the needs of family carers, young carers and the people they support. We are highly skilled, understanding, reliable, trustworthy, practical and flexible, allowing carers autonomy and freedom to do what they wish to. We work closely with other stakeholders to influence the status of carers and the development of carer services.
Values – our shared beliefs, our culture and how we work
Key themes for us are:
Passion – we are passionate about our carers and making their lives better
Quality – we aim to work to the highest standards, giving our carers peace of mind when we are supporting them
Listening – we work with carers to understand their needs and help them control their lives
Trust – we respect our carers and all involved in supporting them so that we are easy and professional to deal with and give carers confidence in our services
Collaboration – we work with other organisations to ensure that our carers have access to the best expertise and support in the most efficient and effective ways, and to adapt services to their changing needs.
